Environmental Compliance

Cornerstone’s environmental compliance services assure compliance with complex regulations at the federal, state, provincial, and local levels. We provide expertise, knowledge, and results, allowing facilities to do their part in protecting and enhancing the environment.

While we are proficient and well-qualified in addressing environmental and safety requirements, we also understand the importance of decreasing applicability to regulations. Our goal is to partner with client management to identify potential risks as well as opportunities for improvement.

Our collaborative approach has allowed client organizations to make proactive decisions regarding potential opportunities for improved efficiency, emission reductions, minimizing financial liabilities/risks, quality, customer requirements, risk assessment, and loss prevention, permitting, reporting, planning, and training.

Learn more about common Environmental Compliance Regulations we help companies address:

Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know
The Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) is a part of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA). Its primary goal is to help communities prepare for and respond to chemical emergencies. EPCRA requires facilities that handle certain hazardous chemicals to report their quantities, locations, and potential hazards to local, state, and federal authorities. This compliance enhances public safety by improving preparedness for chemical emergencies and ensuring transparency about potential risks to the environment and public health.

Clean Water Act
The Clean Water Act is a U.S. federal law aimed at protecting the nation’s water resources. Its main objectives are to regulate the discharge of pollutants into the waters of the United States and to set quality standards for surface waters. The Act empowers the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to set and enforce pollution control standards, issue permits for pollutant discharge, and fund the construction of sewage treatment facilities.

Air Quality
Air quality testing ensures the health and safety of employees by identifying and mitigating harmful pollutants or contaminants in the workplace. Additionally, it aids in compliance with environmental regulations and improves overall indoor air quality, which can enhance productivity and reduce health-related issues.
